Firework Events to Celebrate Bonfire Night

Requirement

Xplosive Events hosts some of the biggest fireworks and family events across the UK. An annual tradition, Bonfire night is traditionally celebrated with nigh time fireworks displays, along with food, drink and the opportunity to socialise around the bonfire.

Running 3 fireworks events each year: Henley Spooktacular, Newbury Fireworks Specatular and Abingdon Mega Bonfire and Fireworks, Xplosive Events needed a partner that could deliver an end-to-end solution for the technical aspects of the event, to include sound, lighting and power that could be timed with the firework display.

The idea was to create a synchronous display that would delight the senses with a symphony of light and sound.  It would set itself apart from other fireworks displays by offering a clever combination of fireworks, sound and light to amaze and inspire. We were to help create a fireworks spectacle truly unlike any other.

Henley Theatre Services was keen to work with Xplosive Events from the outset and loved the idea of producing these events. Being local, we could offer flexible resources and the brightest minds in the business, in addition to a wide range of technical equipment.

The Set-up

We designed a technical solution to deliver a light display that could be seen from miles around, coupled with a sound system to cope with over 20,000 people at each event. We needed to power the site, and ensure that the fireworks, lighting and sound worked in harmony with each other, without one dominating the others.

We lit up the sky with 18x Prolights IP AirBeams, 18x SGM Light A/S Q7s, 9x Martin Professional Jen ZR45s and 9x Atomic 3000 controlled by the Avolites TT2.

The sound was brought to the 22,000 people by 24x Electro-Voice X2, 20x EV XLD and 24x EV X12-128 subs driven by Dynacord TGX20 amp racks controlled by the latest ALLEN & HEATH dLive to enter our hire stock the C1500 and DM0.
